About DEAM

The CEFN is proud to celebrate Disability Employment Awareness Month every October.  It is important to us to recognize and celebrate the outstanding inclusive employers and diverse employees that we work with.  DEAM 2017 wouldn’t have been possible without our fantastic community partners.  We’d like to thank all of our DEAM 2017 partners for their ongoing commitment to inclusive workplaces: Alberta Community and Social Services, The City of Calgary, Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion, Calgary Economic Development, Mount Royal University, Bow Valley College, and Picture This Film Festival.  See below for a recap of this year’s events.

#ProclaimDEAM

This year we called on the Government of Alberta to issue a formal Provincial Proclamation of October as Disability Employment Awareness Month. In partnership with the Government of Alberta, inclusive employment becomes a priority.  We’re proud to announce that during DEAM 2017, 2115 people signed our ‘Proclaim DEAM’ Petition in support of inclusive workplaces.
